Charlottesville Tap Project this Week
Local restaurants are participating in the Charlottesville Tap Project. That program has local and international benefits.

Local restaurants are participating in the Charlottesville Tap Project. That program has local and international benefits.
Customers have the option of paying a dollar for a glass of tap water. That money goes directly to UNICEF's Tap Project to provide safe drinking water to children around the world.
Locally, private donors will match the money raised in the restaurants to benefit the Rivanna Conservation Society's conservation projects and river clean-ups.
Gwen Goodkin, Charlottesville Tap Project Coordinator, says, "I would encourage people to go out to eat at any of these 25 participating restaurants this week, it's good for the local economy it will save lives, its green, its socially conscious, its global and its local."
