(AP) - An inmate who used a rope made from bed sheets to escape from a regional jail in Lynchburg has been captured in Georgia.
Blue Ridge Regional Jail administrator Elton Blackstock says the Georgia State Patrol captured Larry Dodson Jr. on Sunday.
The 20-year-old Dodson had been on the run since escaping from the jail on March 10.
Georgia State Patrol dispatcher R. McCormick says a trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Dodson for speeding on Interstate 95 in Chatham County. McCormick says Dodson fled and was captured in Port Wentworth after a brief chase.
Dodson was being held at the Chatham County Jail.
