A Virginia woman survived a car crash only to be run over and killed minutes later by another car.
Virginia State Police say 22-year-old Ann Unmongkol-Thavong crawled out of her car after it overturned on Interstate 495 at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses said she sat down in the travel lane and minutes later was struck by a car.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the second car. Police say the 55-year-old man from Charlotte, N.C., was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
