The 8th Annual Charlottesville and Central Virginia Symposium on Economic Development was held Tuesday at PVCC. The Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development hosted the meeting and discussed topics ranging from affordable housing, to creating good jobs, to providing workforce housing in Central Virginia.
"We often forget that this is the number one place to live, but there are those folks who may not be able to take advantage of all the opportunities that exist here," explained Robert De Mauri, executive director of the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development.
The partnership's goal for the future is to work with the community to help generate more jobs and create more affordable housing.
