Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

Charlottesville firefighters arrived to a fire before anyone had time to call them.

Crews from the firehouse on Ridge Street stumbled upon a fire on 7th Street Southwest after returning from a false alarm at the John Paul Jones Arena.

Firefighters told us they smelled smoke, and knew something was not right. The scent brought them to a fire in a vacant building.

No one was hurt.
