Prosecutors are working out a plea agreement with a man they believe committed dozens of burglaries in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

Kevin Leon Smith waived a preliminary hearing on Thursday.

Albemarle County’s Commonwealth Attorney’s office said Smith has agreed to plead guilty to six burglaries, six larcenies and to pay restitution.

Smith must still formally enter a guilty plea and be sentenced by a judge.
