The city of Charlottesville announced Monday morning it's got another accolade to brag about.

Charlottesville was recently awarded the 'Savvy Award' for its website.

The award goes to the city with the best municipal marketing and communication sites.

Employees with various departments of the city were on-hand to look at the award. All were thrilled to be number one.

"We're excited because we just launched the website, and we have not had that much [time] to get things in order. With online services, and others features on the site, they thought that we were a good bet to win this year," said Charlottesville Spokesman Ric Barrick.

The City County Communications and Marketing Association presented the award.

The site will soon offer streaming video of meetings held by the city.
