UVa Today: Sofa Shuffle
The University of Virginia prepares for their annual Sofa Shuffle. As students head home for the summer, the event is designed to encourage kids to donate unwanted furniture and household items.

In this weeks UVa Today segment Jim Fitzgerald stopped by to talk about the Sofa Shuffle.
The Sofa Shuffle encourages departing UVa students to donate their unwanted furniture and household items in support of Charlottesville-area nonprofit organizations and residents.
2009 Collection Dates:
* Saturday, May 9
* Monday, May 18
* Saturday, May 30
The collection sites will operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Salvation Army and The Habitat Store will be the recipients of this year's donations.
