The new Crozet library isn't even built yet, but it's already making money.
Over the weekend, Friends of the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library donated $11,000 to the Crozet library.
The Market street branch held their annual holiday sale as usual, but the money raised this year went to the folks in Crozet.
The goal of the sale was just $10,000, but the Charlottesville community helped them raise even more.
"We really feel great. This sale was just so successful that the friends of the library probably will try it again next year," said Jefferson-Madison Regional Library Director John Halliday.
Aside from next year's holiday sale, the library on Market street plans to donate more money to the Crozet branch over the next few months.
