It was trick or treat on grounds Tuesday. Kids had their costumes, and more importantly, their bags for collecting candy on the UVa Lawn. It's an annual tradition that draws out kids, both big and small all looking for a little Halloween fun.

"Ever since I found out I was going to be living on the lawn I've been excited about tonight. It's really neat because it's probably the best time that we as UVa students can get together with the whole community here and we're all really excited about it, we're excited to see the kids," 4th year student, Ross Baird said.

An estimated 3,000 students took part in the event.
