Thursday marks the 45th anniversary of the assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
King was shot outside his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
The 39 year-old Baptist minister was pronounced dead several hours later, after emergency surgery failed to revive him.
FBI agents and Memphis Police found a rifle and telescope, which were used in the murder, in a rooming house across the street from the motel.
News of King's assassination sparked riots across the country.
King was buried in Atlanta on April 9.
James Earl Ray was later charged and convicted for the murder.
