Local bike racers took to the course Sunday racing against each other and the wet weather.
Close to fifty racers made their way through the mud and muck, up hill and back down, in a number of races for several age groups.
Course coordinator Roger Friend transformed a near by construction site into a rigorous route.
"Something like this is not something that you just show up on a day and get out and do it...There's a lot of skills involved, so it takes a while," Friend said.
This year was the first time urban cross hosted the race. It is the second in a series of five local cross races.
