A Massachusetts watchdog group, "World Against Toys Causing Harm", put out a list of toys that could hurt your kids.
It said the most dangerous toy on the market this year is "Heelys". It is a sneaker with roller skates built in. Several kids have reportedly been hurt playing with Heelys.
Also making the list: "Z Launcher: Turbo Water Balloon Launcher", "Pram Decoration - Blossoms", "Pyramid stacker", "Bow & Arrow Set", "Zip-Ity Do Dolly", "Lil Snoopy", "Superman Lamp", "Sky Blaster", and "Fear Factor Candy Challenge".
Also today, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group said 73,000 children under five suffered toy-related injuries last year, and 20 died.
Some tips include being aware of high levels of lead in some children's jewelry. Balloons should be kept away from small children because they account for almost half of toy-related choking deaths.
The report also suggested doing a toilet-paper-roll test. If a toy fits inside an empty roll, then it could be a choking hazard.
