A few of santa's elves were over at K-Mart making sure every child in Charlottesville has a toy on Christmas Day with their 'Toys 4 Tots' drive.

Albemarle high school cheerleaders helped organizers follow the mission of the Marine Corps Reserve of collecting new, and unwrapped toys for needy kids in Charlottesville.

The coordinator of the event said she does it every year for only one reason.

"I keep doing it because someone has to do it, and it may as well be me," said Angie Jefferson.

The 'Toys 4 Tots' drive will continue all day in the K-Mart parking lot on Hydraulic Road.
