Setup is already underway for the 11th annual UVa Art Museum auction to be held on Saturday night. The event raises money to benefit kids programs at the Art Museum. The annual event is expected to draw nearly 400 people bidding on everything from trips, to jewelry and of course, art work.
"Pieces begin in the range of $40 but we also have a very fine small section called "The Collection" which begins at about $500. So there is art in any range and type that people might be interested in," said Jill Hartz, the UVa Art Museum Director.
The event will run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night in the IX Building in Charlottesville. Tickets will be sold at the door for $40.
