Police say that on Saturday Ronrecus Carter was involved in some sort of argument with a female at Fashion Square Mall.

Mall security was called into help the female, who police say made it very clear that she wanted to be left alone.

When mall security tried to step in and physically escort Carter from the mall, he became violent with them, causing an even bigger scene.

“According to witnesses, there were other people, friends of the disorderly subject that tried to pull him away from the security guards. That's how the scuffle ensued. Three security guards as it turns out were assaulted and suffered minor injuries, and also a citizen that tried to help the security guards suffered minor injury,” said Officer Pam Greenwood.

The suspect tried to flee the scene with help from a 16-year-old passing by on a motor scooter.

Both Carter and the juvenile were picked up by police at the Courtyard Marriott next to J.C. Penney.

Police told us that all four people who were injured last night were treated on the scene and released.

Carter was charged with four counts of assault and battery and one count of vandalism.

On Sunday police added a fifth charge to Carter: violation a protective order.

Carter is currently out on bond.

Police say that he will have to go in front of the magistrate again because of the new charges being brought against him.
