Large Donation to UVa

December 5, 2006

On Wednesday, Sheila Johnson is expected to pledge $5 million to the University of Virginia Curry School of Education. Johnson is the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television.

The announcement is expected to come in Richmond with Governor Tim Kaine and UVa President John Casteen.

Reports say the gift will mostly go toward financing clinics that help children with psychological disorders that hinder their learning. Johnson is a member of the Curry School's foundation.
