Two Incidents Snarl Traffic

December 5, 2006

Two incidents in the Charlottesville led to traffic headaches on Tuesday evening.

The first happened at Rt. 29 near Hydraulic Road. Stoplights were out because of a power outage and police directed traffic. At one point, cars were backed up for miles.

Also, the east bound lane of Louisa Road, near the Shadwell Store, was closed because of a two-car wreck. Police say four people were taken to UVa Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
