A former Charlottesville High School teacher accused of sexual abuse against children appeared in court Friday morning.
A judge set bond at $50,000. He also ordered Spivey to have no unsupervised visits with minors, including his two children. Spivey posted that bond Friday afternoon.
The former choral director at Charlottesville High School is facing seven counts of sexual abuse of a minor and propositioning a minor. Police say there is more than one victim.
He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday but did not show because he checked himself into a hospital for psychiatric treatment.
Earlier in the week Spivey resigned as a teacher at the school.
