A pedestrian died Tuesday after getting hit by a vehicle when crossing Interstate 64 in Albemarle County. Police say 19-year-old Theodore Timothy Snow II of Charlottesville was killed when an RV hit him as he was trying to cross the Interstate. He died at the hospital.
The accident caused major traffic tie-ups around Charlottesville as Virginia Department of Transportation officials closed I-64 West from the Shadwell exit to the Charlottesville exits for 45 minutes as they investigated the scene.
Interstate traffic was detoured to Route 250 West. Police are investigating. They say no charges have been filed against the driver of the RV.

It''s hard to believe it has been over a year. Unfortunately, Tim was a survivor of a cousin (I think) who lost his life in a similar way. The odds of a survivor doing the same thing increases astronomically. Everyone needs to understand this and remind people that suicide is a permanent solution to problems that are temporary.
Tim was my best friend in high school. i can't believe it's been almost a year already. so much has happened. so much he has watched happen. just wish he was still here to talk about things. He always understood and forgave what no one else would or could. I just wish i hadn't lost touch with him after i stopped stayin with him. He was an amazing person. i still miss him like it was yesterday.
i miss you Tim, he was like a brother to me. we had a lot of great times together. Even now its so hard to think that he is actually gone, feels like a bad dream... Even though we will all miss him tremendously i am happy that he is in a better place now without pain & suffering always watching over us. i wish the best for his family
