Students at Piedmont Virginia Community College will have another reason to take pride in their degrees.
PVCC has reached an agreement on a new transfer option with Old Dominion University.
This new agreement is a guaranteed admission program for PVCC students who obtain an Associate’s Degree in engineering.
Once their degree is completed, any student who meets the qualifications set in place will be offered admission to ODU’s Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology.
“We think that this is a wonderful opportunity. We are very excited about this. Our engineering program is really growing now. We’ve had the boost of a couple of National Science Foundation grants. We now have this agreement with ODU for our students,” said Mary Jane King, an administrator at PVCC.
This new transfer option is similar to the ones PVCC already has set up with Virginia Tech and UVA.
