When it came to traveling this holiday many people chose to travel by bus.

The Greyhound station in Charlottesville was full on Friday with passengers waiting for connecting buses to destinations all over the country.

The rain did cause delays for one bus en route from Washington, DC.

Greyhound officials say this is the busiest time of the year for their business and the weather didn't help.

"Well with holiday travel the weather is a big concern because right now we have the rain and the fog. With a lot of cars and tractor trailers out there and they're hitting breaks and slowing down and you have to look for your exit. So the visibility is real low in certain areas where the fog is real dense," said Virgil Jones, a Greyhound bus driver.

V-DOT reported a fog advisory on interstate 64 in the Afton Mountain area.
