No Bond for Shifflett

December 28, 2006

The man who led to a week long manhunt will remain in jail. Bond has once again been denied for Elvis Shifflett.

Police began looking for Shifflett in October after he allegedly tried to shoot his girlfriend outside a Charlottesville courthouse. A week later, a chase ended with officers shooting Shifflett.

Shifflett was previously denied bond on his charges. On Thursday his defense appealed that decision, but was denied. Shifflett appeared in court for that hearing.
