Truck Crash Knocks Out Power In Charlottesville

The power is back on for hundreds of people in Charlottesville.
Nearly 1,300 people were left in the dark when a truck crashed into utility pole.

The accident happened at Preston Avenue and Washington Park, shortly after 6am Monday morning.

Police say the driver, Dominguez Cristin, tried to run away, but didn't get very far before getting caught. In addition to charges related to the accident, Cristin has also been charged with driving under the influence.
