Speaking live on Good Morning Charlottesville, VDOT Spokesperson Lou Hatter provided an update on road conditions.
He said the primary roads are in "pretty good shape," with mostly wet pavement and some slick spots, especially in areas where there isn't a lot of traffic. Hatter also warned the turn lanes are still partially snow covered.
Secondary roads are still mostly covered with snow, they are reportedly icy and slick.
Hatter said some of the trouble spots include Route 6 in Southern Albemarle County, Route 20 and Route 53.
Hatter warned, if you need to go out, give yourself plenty of time and expect to drive less than the speed limit.
