Mark Lee did an unscientific survey of what ticks people off when they are shopping online.
He wrote the article for "multichannel merchant" and found through a survey of 75 co workers and friends the top gripes people had with online shopping.
Gripe #1- I have to do too much work to find out how much shipping will cost.
"That was one of the most popular complaints people, they hated when they had to go all the way through the cart before they could find out how much something was going to cost to ship and in some cases the information was there but hard to find and in other cases you have to go through the whole process and that was irritating" said Lee.
Gripe #2- I can't find your phone number.
Lee said that it was hard for people to find the number for customer support on a website and that usually you had to use email in order to get customer support.
Gripe #3- Don't make me log in just to place an order.
"That one created a lot of comments. People don't like when they come back to the site they have to try to remember what their password was on the site and they have to get an email back to find out what their password was or that that user name was already created" said Lee.
