Train Hits Teenager On Railroad Tracks

Virginia State Police investigated an accident involving a train and a car Thursday morning.

Virgina State Police said 19 year old Jessica Bostock was hit by a train on Shellhorn Road in Louisa County. Police said Bostock was talking on a cell phone around 9:00a.m. when the accident happened. The train's impact pushed Bostock's Dodge Neon 439 feet down the tracks.

Virginia State Police said the teenager was very disoriented, but only had a scratch on her forehead. She was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center, and is listed in good condition.
