Investigators Look Into Cause of Overnight Barn Fire
Albemarle County firefighters are looking into the cause of an overnight barn fire. The barn on Plank Road in Albemarle County was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.

Albemarle County firefighters are looking into the cause of an overnight barn fire.
It broke out at 2:30 am Tuesday at a farm off Plank Road in southern Albemarle County.
The barn was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived. Hundreds of bales of hay and straw were inside the building. Investigators believe spontaneous combustion may have been the cause.
