Investigation into Va. Council Member's Death Travels South
Berryville, Va. (WHSV) The investigation into the murder of Berryville Town Council member Gail Smith has sent local officers to southern Virginia.

The investigation into the murder of Berryville Town Council member Gail Smith has sent local officers to southern Virginia.
The investigative team spoke with several people in Nottoway, Amelia, Prince Edward, and Chesterfield counties.
Berryville Police Chief Neal White says the joint task force was following up on information that had come to light over the course of the investigation.
Smith was found with a gunshot wound to the head in her Berryville home July 30.
