Reiki focuses on relaxation and moving positive energy throughout the body to keep it balanced.
"7 year ago I was an angry person that blamed everything that was going on in my life on other people and other things," said Glen Miller who is a client.
Miller says his marriage was failing apart and he was severely depressed until he lay down on the table for the first time.
"Now I feel pretty content. I own my own business, I'm in a successful marriage, I've grown in my relationship with my children. It's like night and day," said Miller.
The reiki master acts as a channel for the energy by moving along the ora, touching, and placing gems on the body.
"It's really love. It's like you can't explain the sunset. You can't explain listening to the orchestra. It's really love. It's holding a positive place for people and sending them energy," said Reiki Master Janet Holmes.
Holmes has seen everything tumors shrinking to a break-up hurting just a little less.
"Reiki reduces stress, lowers blood pressure. When you think about it some people aren't quiet all day. Some people are like 'Oh, can't I just come and relax?'" said Holmes.
I got the chance to lay on the table, which put me in a meditative state.
"Pretty spongy I would say, light, carefree, energetic, bliss. Bliss would be a good word for it," said Miller.
Holmes works on raising the vibrations within people. The lower vibrations are associated with shame, guilt and anger, while higher vibrations are joy, peace, and love. Holmes puts stones on her clients bodies in certain spots to affect vibrations.
"The stone on my necklace, the cyanite is for the throat chakra. So it helps clear the energy in the throat. I've recommended it for people with thyroid problems, people who have trouble speaking their truths," said Holmes.
There are hundreds of stones that have different affects on the body.
