Jury Reaches Verdict In Crawford Trial

Anthony Crawford was on trial for murdering his wife and then dumping her body in a local motel.

After deliberating for eight and a half hours the jury, consisting of six men and six women, found Crawford guilty on the six of the seven charges against him, capital murder being the most serious.

Along with capital murder Crawford was found guilty of use of a firearm during murder, rape, abduction, use of a firearm during abduction, and grand larceny.

This afternoon Crawford was sentenced to serve two life sentences, plus 67 years in prison.
