Anna Nicole smith led a sensational life and her death is no different. This morning Smith's mother blamed her death on a drug overdose
Evidence was removed from Smith's room at the Hard rock and may help reveal why the 39 year old former playboy model collapsed Thursday.
Official word from the medical examiner on the autopsy is expected later today.
Smith's attorney, Ron Rale, said she had been ill for several days with
a fever and was still depressed over the death five months earlier of
her 20-year-old son Daniel.
"I feel that she just went through a lot of heartache in her life and it
was hard for her to deal with it" said Tai Weissman, Anna's former makeup artist.
The reality TV star's sudden death has sped up the paternity case over
Smith's five month old baby Dannielynn.
Her most recent boyfriend Howard K. Stern is listed as the father on the
birth certificate and has custody for now.
"There's an emergency paternity hearing today in Los Angeles" said James Neavit, attorney for Stern.
He wouldn't stand to get anything from her death. The only surviving
heir to her estate would be Dannielynn.
What's at stake? A potential inheritance of millions of dollars, the
legacy of her marriage to an 89 year old oil tycoon.
Despite a long legal battle the fortune is still tied up in the courts. Anna Nicole Smith's tabloid life didn't end with her death.
