"Ordinary people can do extraordinary things" was the message being given during an event held in Albemarle County Monday morning.
The Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families launched the Youth Development Network.
The agency said the network is an effort to improve the community for children. The meeting included several agencies which have formed an agreement.
"We want to make sure that any child who has an interest in participating in any activity has the opportunity to do so," said Gretchen Ellis of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families.
Ellis said she hopes to have about 40 agencies involved with the Youth Development Network.
