Organizers of the event that drew more than 26,000 people to Charlottesville last year have announced the 2007 schedule.
This year, the Festival of the Book will feature authors with local ties and special programs on Virginia's history, specifically Jamestown.
The festival attracts both people who love to read and people who love to write, giving them all a hands-on experience.
"I think it is because it is big but it is still really personal so people can still meet authors in person," explained program director Nancy Damon of the event's success. "And (people can) really talk to them (authors). And I think authors like it because they can meet other authors."
The event includes classes for writers, and book discussions for readers.
It runs March 21-25.
