For the first time, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a report on the percentage of people in each state who live with or have survived heart attacks and other cardiac problems.
Nationwide, about 6.5 percent fit into one of those categories, which is right were Virginia falls in the rankings.
The highest rate is in West Virginia with 10 percent
