Ash Lawn-Highland is planning for President's Day traffic by adding more tours, but Sunday they said a major increase in tourism is a nice change from their normally slow winter months.
“Usually President’s Day weekend picks up for us, but because of the cold and weather of this past week I thought it might not be as popular as past years,” said Jennifer Pharr, Special Events Coordinator at Ash Lawn-Highland. “Thankfully it doesn’t seem to be discouraging people.”
When visiting the home of James Monroe, tourists not only learn not about his presidency, but his personal life as well.
