Retired Military Officer's Association had a very special guest at their meeting on Thursday.
A representative from the Jamestown 2007 celebration was in town to speak to the community about what the state has planned for its 400 year celebration.
In total there are fourteen major events being planned through the year, including one major three-day celebration during the second weekend of May.
"On the Saturday we will have some major events that commemorate the landing. We will have a launch of one of the actual ships, and we'll have some major programming at a place called anniversary park," said Sandy Rives, Virginia Director of the National Park Services.
During the weekend there will also be special dedications, fireworks, live music and a scheduled visit by President Bush.
