Arraignment has been set for March 12th for Rodney Rodis. At that time the Catholic priest accused of embezzling money from two Louisa County parishes will enter a plea.
Rodis is also accused of leading a double life, with a family. His attorney said Rodis not legally married to the woman he lived with in Spotsylvania County. The attorney declined to say whether Rodis is the father of the three children who lived with him.
Police say Rodis may have taken as much as one million
dollars in donations made to Saint Jude and Immaculate Conception
Catholic churches in Louisa. He led the churches for 14 years
before retiring in May.
