Governor Tim Kaine is working closely with governors from around the country in Washington D.C. this week.
It's the 2007 Governors Association's winter meeting. The bipartisan group of governors are wrapping up four days of meetings.
They'll get to meet with the President, members of his cabinet, as well as Congressional members. The key topic this year is improving competitiveness of the nation's economy through innovation.
"It's been very productive, and as I say I love to come here to steal ideas from people, so I got my ears finely tuned, and talking to governors about things that they're up to and sharing ideas as well. It's very valuable" said Kaine.
The winter meeting is expected to finish Tuesday.
