February 27, 2007

Tuesday morning at the County Office Building, Master Deputy Roger Craig threw his name in the running for top cop. Craig has served has in the county's Sheriff's Department for over fifteen years and said his experience with the department sets him apart from his opponents.

“With the candidates running, I’ve been there the longest than anybody. They're police officers and I’m a sheriff and you know it was a thing for me to do at the time,” said Craig. “I've just got some ideas of the way I want to serve the county.”

Craig said if he wins he will be a hands on sheriff and will bring community programs that have been forgotten, back to life.
