The Longwood University student who rushed in to a burning house and saved three people was released from the hospital Thursday.
Timothy Cochrane is being called a hero. He said that he didn't think twice when he ran in to the house to save people sleeping. Cochrane suffered burns to his face and hands. Doctors say his burns should heal.
Two people did not make it out and died in the fire including Albemarle High School grad Byron Jamerson.
"Ran in up the stairs and the house was filled up with smoke. So I just went room to room kicking doors in, yelling, there's fire everyone get out of the house" said Cochrane.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire but they have confirmed that it started on the second floor.
