Gray To Stand Trial In Culpeper Murder

March 14, 2007

Ricky Gray, who is currently on death row for the murder of a Richmond family, will stand trial for the murder of Culpeper woman.

37-year-old Sherly Warner was found hanging by an electrical cord in her burning basement back in December of 2005. Authorities believe she was one of Gray's victims during a killing spree between November 2005 to January 2006.

Gray appeared in a Culpeper Circuit Court Wednesday where a judge said he would go to trial for the murder. He is expected to plea not guilty to killing Warner, according to defense attorney Ted Burns.
