State Delegates Discuss General Assembly Bills

March 14, 2007

Legislation was on the minds of a group of senior statesman as two local delegates met with them to discuss the General Assembly session.

Delegates Rob Bell and David Toscano talked to the group about the different laws that were passed during the session and how it affects our local area. Bell says these events give him a chance to interact with his constituency.

"It's a chance to listen to what people have to say. We knock on doors all summer, we get phone calls, we get mail but there are a lot of people that would never contact our offices in that way. If you never get out in groups like this, you will never hear what their thoughts are" said Bell.

Legislators go back to Richmond on April 4th for one day to approve or try to override any changes Governor Kaine has made to the laws they passed.
