The first annual Nolan Jenkins Lacrosse Tournament ended on Sunday with the retirement of the honoree's jersey.
Family and friends of Nolan gathered on the field before the game to retire the number seventeen; the number Nolan wore for the last five teams he played for.
The 17-year-old was killed last year in an alcohol related car accident, but those around him say they're using his mistakes to help educate others.
Organizers are planning to make this tournament an annual event in hopes Nolan's life will be remembered.
