Honda Recalling Thousands Of Models

March 19, 2007

Honda said that it was recalling about 165,000 models on Monday in order to prevent potential engine problems.

The recall includes 2005 models of the Acura RL, TL, and TSX sedans, Honda Accord coupes, sedans and hybrids, Odyssey minivans and 2006 Ridgeline trucks.

After receiving multiple complaints of vehicles stalling or failing to start the company started investigating and found that in some cars, a sealer material leaked into the coil wire inside the fuel pump.

The wire could become brittle and snap which would cause the engine to stall or not start. No injuries or crashes have been linked to the problem. Dealers will inspect and replace the pump free of charge.
