Man Robbed On Commonwealth Drive

April 03, 2007

Albemarle County Police are looking for a thief who robbed a man walking along Commonwealth Drive.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Monday night as the victim was walking toward Hydraulic Road.

A man came up to him, said he had a weapon, and took his wallet.

The victim wasn't hurt.

Officers brought police dogs out and searched the area, but they didn't find anything.

No word on if there's any connection between this and the recent robberies at the nearby 7-11 and Westgate Apartments.
