Sixty kids, with parents and chaperons taught kids to fish during their spring break Wednesday morning.
The event was sponsored by the Charlottesville Parks and Recreation Department, many of the kids experiencing fishing for the first time. The event was held to teach kids teamwork and a new sport.
Sponsors decided to have the event over spring break so that kids would have something to do during their time off.
