Students at Walton Middle School scraped together $1,000 to donate to a bus driver whose house burned down last month.

A family who lost their house after a fire in Schuyler got a little support from their school community today.

Students at Walton Middle School presented Laura Moon, a bus driver at the school, with $1,000 to help her bounce back after a fire ripped through her family's home last month. She says this donation shows that her students are thinking of her.

"It means a lot to me. It shows that my students and the school that I drive for really cares a lot about me and my family," she said.

Students at Walton also gathered 15,000 pennies to donate toward people affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
