The Virginia Attorney General's Office has recognized two localities for their efforts to address domestic violence.
Chesterfield and King George counties were recognized at a ceremony Monday. They join Fairfax, Loudoun and Tazewell counties and the city of Richmond, which were recognized in April for their leadership on the issue.
Localities may apply for recognition through the attorney general's "Safe in Our Communities" program. Selected communities receive a $1,000 grant from the Verizon Wireless HopeLine Program.
