Your tax deadline is fast approaching, and there are things you can do that will help the environment and save money on your taxes.
The government gives tax credits if you own a hybrid car or make certain home improvements. These credits are offered in hopes that the savings of the ecofriendly trend will catch on.
“Energy-saving tax credits are basically designed to encourage homeowners to reduce consumption of energy at home by employing the high efficiency improvements,” said Fraidoon Hovaizi, Ph.D, Dell Tax Services President.
If you do qualify, there are special tax forms that must be filled out.
